Nurturing Arts
Providing time and space and a guide, Nurturing Arts helps people discover what lives in their higher self through the arts. Through painting, sculpture, and drawing, Nurturing Arts is a social art for groups over time.
The experience of art gives a connection between the human being and their outer world and by giving attention, our inner world is opened as well. The process is different with different practitioners and situations. But there is an underlying process for every session. We start with coming together and warming up to the space and to ourselves. Different art supplies are offered, the process is to accept and make it your own. Immerse yourself in a color or warm the clay in your hands or explore shape and form with pencil lines you draw. Inner nourishment is an mindful experience for everybody.
The School for Nurturing Arts offers classes in the social arts with painting, clay modeling, drawing, singing, movement, and writing. Nurturing Arts was initiated into the United States by Maria deZwaan an Anthroposophical Art Therapist from Holland. The initiative in California grew out of Maria's trainings.
