BOARD MEMBERS & LEADERSHIP TEAM |
Tonya Stoddard LCSWTonya Stoddard is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has completed the three year foundation program as well as a three year internship with AAP; she now serves on the AAP Board. Since 2018, she has been an AHA (Anthroposophic Health Assn.) Board member, representing AAP (Association for Anthroposophic Psychology), and is on the AHA leadership team. Her earlier experience includes a decade + working in supportive housing for adults struggling with mental illness, addiction and trauma in San Francisco. Currently, in her private practice, Threefold Counseling in Tampa, FL, she offers Anthroposophic psychotherapy for children and adults as well as consults with Waldorf communities on child development, parenting, and how best to support the Waldorf curriculum. Tonya is committed to creating access to anthroposophic psychotherapy for communities that traditionally have been unable to receive these services. |
Lael StimmingLael Stimming has been attending births for over 20 years. She is currently working as a home birth midwife in the state of New Hampshire. Each birth is unique and inspires awe and wonder. In 2014 Lael attended her first Anthoposophic medical training hosted by the Physicians Associations for Anthoposophic Medicine (PAAM). Here Lael was able to find language unique to what midwives hold and the importance of the work those who are keepers of birth provide. Anthroposophic midwifery has been living within Lael since that first conference. She is delighted that this is becoming a reality and that, along with other midwives in other parts of the world, together an Anthroposophic Midwifery training is coming into being. Midwives are a bridge during birth holding mothers and families as they transition from united with their child within, to bringing that child forth as a separate being. As midwives we approach this awesome work in the light of truth, beauty and goodness. |
